Software
I have developed different types of free software with my teams. (See the software section for more details.)
-
LeDiT: Learning with Digital Testimonies: Have a conversation with the realistic video chatbot of Holocaust survivor Abba Naor to learn about his life and views.
The interactive digital testimony contains only authentic recorded material and matches the users’ questions with the questions that were asked to the real Abba Naor.

- Bridge of Knowledge VR: VR adventure quiz app in which players answer multiple-choice questions to cross a rope bridge in the jungle. Incorrect answers lead to a fall and you learn the correct answer. New levels can be created easily by teachers.
- WordValue: Search for a whole list of items in a text and colour-code them in context based on their values.
- CompSpell Webtool: Find out about the likeliest spelling of English compounds – i.e. whether to include a space or hyphen, or not.
Corpora
-
Erlangen Student Corpus Collection: Every semester, numerous students compile corpora for their coursework papers. Once the research is completed, these corpora fall into oblivion in spite of the time, effort and expertise invested by the compilers. The publication of such student-compiled corpora is a good way of showing our recognition for these early-stage researchers’ projects, which may serve as a useful resource for other researchers.
